Definition of Temporary Work
Temporary work is an alternative to a permanent position. Industries define ‘temporary work’ in various ways. In general terms it refers to someone who works on a ‘non-fixed term’ basis with a salary calculated on an hourly or daily rate. Workers are usually paid through their agency payroll.

- To cover for maternity leave or other absences
- Our trained consultants will work to find your ideal temporary job
Making an impression and staying in work
All workers should keep an up-to-date CV, listing their experience and skills. A professional attitude and the maintaining of good relationships with consultants and employers is essential to ensure consistent employment. Your consultant should always be aware of your availability and any changes to personal details.
See the 'Upload Your CV' section for advice on creating an effective résumé.
Euroforce Interviews
We consider each worker a Euroforce ambassador. We therefore need to assess background, experience, skills, qualifications, character/appearance and personality at a friendly but detailed interview. Many applicants stay on long term contracts or are offered full time positions with our clients.
Tax & National Insurance
Tax and National Insurance will automatically be deducted from your salary. If you are working in the UK for the first time you are legally required to complete a P46 form and apply for a National Insurance number. The Department of Work and Pensions on 0845-6000-643 will direct you to the nearest relevant office to arrange an interview. Click here for more information.
In the light of Government anti-tax avoidance legislation, if you wish to work through a limited company, we recommend you visit the Inland Revenue website for further information.
Employment in the UK
The expansion of the European Union provides a unique opportunity for all EU workers to be able to find work in the United Kingdom.
To be considered for temporary/contract roles, you must have the right to work in the UK. If you are not British, you must be an EC national or have secured a UK visa. If unsure about your visa status, please refer to ukvisa.gov.uk for further information.
If eligible to work in the UK, your consultant will offer comprehensive assessment and feedback based on your experience and qualifications. To give you an idea of positions we are currently recruiting for, visit our Posted Jobs page.
Banking Facilities
It can be quite difficult to set up a bank account in the UK. However, Euroforce has strong relationships with various UK banks. If required, we can help set up an account quickly and easily. Once you arrive in the UK your consultant will organise a meeting with a bank representative. With a letter of recommendation from Euroforce, your passport / ID card, and a document confirming your address, the bank representative is usually able to set up your account immediately.
Medical Assistance
It is important to register with a National Health Service (NHS) doctor if you intend to reside in the UK for six months or more. You will then be entitled to free medical advice and treatment. Should an emergency arise and you are not yet registered, you can utilise the Accident and Emergency services at any hospital. To register, contact your Local Health Authority and quote your postal code. They will then provide you with a list of local doctors to choose from.
